New Beltline restaurant provides healthy food on the go

It’s not at the foot of Mt. Everest, but Basecamp Provisions provides a quick refueling spot for adventure seekers at Piedmont Park and the Beltline.
The tiny restaurant is housed in a silver Airstream parked in the roundabout driveway at Park Tavern on the corner of 10th and Monroe streets. They offer to-go options or provide a few chairs and tables under the trees if anyone wants to take a break.
It is currently open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., but they hope to expand to seven days a week by October.
Park Tavern owners and restaurateurs Paul and Angela Smith decided to combine their love of travel and passion for healthy food, according to a news release from the restaurant. The place caters to people using the Beltline or Piedmont Park.
Menu items including breakfast items, tacos, grilled cheese sandwiches, acai bowls, salads, smoothies, kombucha, artesian soda floats, tea, and coffee.
