Two ice skating rinks return to Midtown for winter season

It may be 80 degrees outside, but winter is just around the corner. We promise.
And one sign of winter is the return of two popular ice skating rinks in Midtown.
The Aquafina Rink at Park Tavern in Piedmont Park will open on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 24 and stay open until Feb. 20, 2017, according to a news release.
Located in the Garden Tent, this rink features modern amenities for day and night skating including a covered rink that is 85 feet long and 40 feet wide and comfortably accommodates 200.
Tickets to skate all day starting at $15 on non-peak season days and include rental skates.
Skaters can also sit back and relax under Park Tavern’s covered patio that features plenty of seating, stone fire pits, flat screen TVs, private cabanas and holiday decorations. Rink and park-side dining are also available, with homemade hot chocolate, specialty seasonal cocktails and house-made brews.
The Aquafina Rink at Park Tavern will be open Monday through Friday from 4:30 p.m. to midnight and Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to midnight. To make reservations and for the most up-to-date event calendar, specialty packages, and venue rental information, click here.
