$750 million project planned for Beltline’s Eastside Trail
Developer New City LLC is planning a massive $750 million development at 760 Ralph McGill Blvd. along the Beltline’s Eastside Trail in the Old Fourth Ward neighborhood.
New City confirmed the details of the project contained in a Business Chronicle story, but company officials declined a request for an interview. They did, however, provide several renderings. New city paid $34 million for the property, the Business Chronicle reported.
The company will build two 12-story office buildings, a 50 to 75 room boutique hotel, 200,000 square feet of retail space and 700 residential units, the Business Chronicle reported.
Groundbreaking could occur in late 2018. The property would have to be rezoned, per the Business Chronicle, and would have to be vetted by the state as a Development of Regional Impact.
The property is also a potential site for Amazon’s second headquarters, the Business Chronicle reported.
Here are renderings of the project, provided by New City.
