Atlanta Police have arrested an Uber Eats driver accused of murdering a customer on Saturday evening, Feb. 17.
Robert Bivines, 36, has turned himself in. He is accused of shooting a customer in Buckhead while working for Uber Eats, a food delivery service.
“Around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday night (2/17/18) Atlanta Police responded to a call of a person shot at 2870 Pharr Court South in Buckhead,” the Police Department said in a press release. “When officers arrived, they found a victim was being transported to Grady in critical condition with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim later died from his injuries. Investigators arrived on scene and preliminary determined from witnesses that the victim, a 30-year-old male, had placed a food delivery via smartphone app, Uber Eats. The victim went down to meet the driver, received his order and began walking away from the vehicle. As the victim was walking away, it appears words may have been exchanged between he and the delivery driver. Shots were apparently fired from the delivery vehicle, striking the victim. The delivery driver, in a white Volkswagen, fled the scene.”
