A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle near the intersection of Chattahoochee Ave. and Ellsworth Industrial Blvd. this morning.

Officers were dispatched to the scene at approximately 7:05 a.m. When they arrived, they discovered the man had run out into traffic and was struck by a vehicle traveling northwest on Chattahoochee Ave., according to the police report. The pedestrian died from his injuries.

The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene, and is cooperating with the ongoing investigation, Atlanta Police report.
