UPDATE: NBA reporter carjacked at Midtown apartments

Atlanta Police responded to a carjacking at the Gables Midtown Apartments over the weekend.
According to the Police Department, on Oct. 22 at 3:18 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the apartments. A female victim, identified as NBA TV reporter Kristen Ledlow, had pulled up into the apartment complex. She was approached by two males who exited a silver newer model sedan.
“One of the male suspects pointed a gun at the victim and took her vehicle,” Atlanta Police said via email. “[The victim’s] vehicle is a red 2016 Corvette … [The vehicle] was picked up … in zone four 25 minutes later.”
Police spoke to the apartment manager about obtaining video footage of the incident. Police released a lengthier report Monday afternoon, Oct. 24.
“Ms. Kristen Ledlow who reported that she was on the 3rd floor in the parking deck at the location removing groceries from her red 2016 Chevrolet when a silver sedan with three black males pulled up beside her,” the report says. “She advised that one of the men came from the rear seat of the silver sedan and pointed a black hand gun at her chest. She stated that she dropped the car keys on the ground and the male picked up the keys and went inside her car. A second male then came from the front passenger side of the silver sedan and went inside the front passenger side of the victim’s car, both cars then left the scene. The victim advised that the African American male with the gun was dressed in a pair of dark jeans and gray hooded sweater with the hood over his head and his face showing. He was about 5’8, slim built, appeared to be in his 20’s … The victim advised that second male was also wearing a hood sweater and was taller that the first male, however, she was not able to describe the third male.”
An officer who found the vehicle at a Chevron Gas Station on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive wrote, “There is video surveillance at the store that captured the suspects getting out of the vehicle.”
