City of Atlanta opens warming center as temperatures drop
With temperatures expected to drop to 24 degrees on Friday evening, Dec. 9, the city of Atlanta is opening its doors to people who need help staying warm.
The old Adamsville Recreation Center will open at 5:30 p.m. as an emergency overflow shelter. The address is 3404 Delmar Lane, Atlanta, GA 30331.
According to the national weather service, the high temperature for Saturday, Dec. 10, will be a chilly 48 degrees. There’s a chance of rain on Sunday. Things will warm up a bit by Monday, when the high is expected to be 63 degrees.
