Dragon Con attendee injured by chairs tossed from balcony of host hotel

Atlanta Police said a Dragon Con attendee was injured by a chair tossed from a balcony at the Marriott Grand Marquis early Sunday morning.
“Officers working an off-duty assignment at the hotel responded to a report of a women in her mid 20’s injured as a result of being struck by one of two flying chairs from an upper floor patio or terrace level,” the Police Department spokesperson said. “The victim sustained a large lacerations on the top of her head; she was alert conscious and breathing at the time of transport.”
The Police Department said the chairs may have come from the 10th floor, but could not confirm that.
“No suspects have been identified,” the Police Department spokesperson said. “There were no witnesses or video available.”
WSB-TV said the victim believes her Dragon Con costume may have saved her life.
