Eco-A to host event for Atlanta’s Tree Canopy

Eco-A is hosting “Discovering Atlanta’s Original Forest” on Apr. 25.
From 7 p..m. to 9 p.m., Eco-A is presenting an author talk by Joan Maloof and a panel discussion about Atlanta Urban Forest, moderated by Maria Saporta.
Maloof is a “celebrated forest ecology author and founder of the Old Growth Forest Network,” and Saporta is a “local tree lover” and editor of Saporta Report.
The panel will include:
– Stephanie Stuckey Benfield, City of Atlanta Chief Resiliency Officer
– Jacqueline Echols, PhD, Director, South River Watershed Alliance
– Darryl Haddock, Director of Education, West Atlanta Watershed Alliance
– Professor John Wegner, Environmental Science, Emory University, former Campus Environmental Officer
The event is free and will be held in Emory University’s Math and Science Center Auditorium, in room 208, located at 400 Dowman Dr. in Atlanta.
