Cooler weather is finally here, perfect for fall festivals.
One of the first of the season begins this weekend with the 16th annual Fall Fest in Candler Park. A two-day celebration of music, art, food, kid events, a 5k race and a tour of homes, the Fall Fest welcomes about 15,000 people to Candler Park.
Festival goers can expect entertainment and fun for any age group. Kidlandia provides a carnival-like atmosphere with rides, live shows and entertainers. Entrance to Kidlandia and all shows are free, but some rides may not be.
The food trucks will feature Mexican, Indian, Italian, Japanese, Vietnamese or American cuisines, providing plenty of options for the entire family.
“Come for lunch, stay for dinner and go shopping or grab a beer to support your favorite local neighborhood,” the Fall Fest website invites.
The popular festival is organized by the nonprofit Candler Park Neighborhood Organization. The event is free, with all proceeds going back to benefit the community.
