Fourth Celebrate Atlanta Block Party Takes Over College Park J.R. Crickets
The fourth and final Celebrate Atlanta Block Party will be happening tomorrow, Jan 13, at J.R. Crickets in College Park from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Lululemon and Organized Noize will not only be celebrating College Park but will also be honoring the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday at this community-building blowout complete with wing specials and music courtesy of D.J Nabs.
One of the event’s organizers, Asher Payne, says this party will be a little smaller than the previous three and will feel more like a takeover of the iconic College Park bar and eatery than the large-scale celebrations they’ve thrown in the past. However, he says the spirit of giving back to the community remains the same.
“Sunday’s event is to celebrate our city and College Park through an early celebration of Rev. King’s birthday,” Payne says. “This is a smaller scale event compared to the first three block parties where we can celebrate everything we’ve accomplished.”
