Freeze warning issued for Atlanta
The National Weather Service says there’s a freeze warning in effect for Atlanta from 11 p.m. on March 14 to 11 a.m. March 15.
The freeze warning is in effect for numerous counties including DeKalb and Fulton.
Temperatures will drop to the mid 20s and lower 30s. Winds of up to 25 miles per hour with gusts of 30 miles per hour are expected. Winds could bring down tree limbs and fell trees.
“Unsecured outdoor items may be blown around,” the National Weather Service says. “The freezing temperatures will threaten any vegetation that has budded early due to the warm winter we have been experiencing.”
NWS recommends using caution while driving due to the strong winds.
