Fuqua developing 17-acre Leggett & Platt site near Beltline
Developer Fuqua has purchased the 17-acre Leggett & Platt site at 905 Memorial Drive, near the Atlanta Beltline’s future Eastside Trail extension.
Curbed Atlanta reports the purchase price was nearly $30 million.
The site will be redeveloped as a mixed use development called Madison Yards. A spokesperson for Fuqua directed Atlanta Loop to the company’s website for information about the project.
“The proposed 130,000 sf of retail & restaurant space will be anchored by a grocery store, a theater, a health club, loft office space, 400 multi-family units, and 200 Senior units,” the website says. “Retail space along the Beltline will feature two-sided glass storefronts. Parking will be provided in multiple on site parking decks.”
Curbed has slightly different information about the project, however. Curbed says there will be 160,000 square feet of retail and 550 residences. Curbed reports that the anchor businesses will be an AMC movie theater and a Publix Grocery Store.
