Georgia State University groups to host activism panel
Georgia State University’s Debate Society and Center for Global Information Studies will host a panel presentation and discussion about activism on Tuesday, according to a joint press release from the two groups.
Titled “Communicating Activism in a Post-Truth Era,” the discussion will be facilitated by Todd Wolfson, a journalism and media studies professor and expert in media activism at Rutgers University. Additionally, several prominent Atlanta-based activists and leaders will make up the panel.
Additionally, the discussion will center around “how advocacy and activism persist in the age of misinformation and political polarization,” the release said.
The event is open to the public and will take place at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, February 27 in room 830 at 25 Park Place in downtown Atlanta. Pizza and beverages will also be provided.
