Good for laughs: Dad’s Garage brings back kid’s improv show

Dad’s Garage is bringing back their popular kid’s improv comedy show, renamed as “Foolio’s Fun Club.”
The show uses G-rated improv to create a new story every week, according to a news release. The kids make suggestions just like a regular improv show and help shape the story as it moves along.
“’Foolio’s Fun Club’ features puppets, live actors in silly costumes, and lots of fun scenery,” the news release says. “The kids get to tell jokes, interact with the performers, and laugh at the wacky stories. We’ve even tried to sneak in a few positive lessons into the show. Everything from table manners, to sharing, to being a good friend.”
Previously known as “Uncle Grandpa’s Hoo-Dilly Storytime” during the theater’s Inman Park days, the show has been rebooted for their new home in the Old Fourth Ward. It is approximately an hour long, and is meant for kids aged 2 and up.
Dad’s Garage promises this show is equally entertaining for the adults, featuring that (while they may not register with the kids) adults can chuckle at. The theater also has a bar, with Bloody Marys and Mimosas for the grown ups.
