‘Dear White PPL’ – Photo display on the Atlanta Beltline vandalized
Art placed along the Atlanta Beltline was vandalized this week.
Josh Weiss, a local photographer, took these photos of the damage between the Old Fourth Ward skate Park and Krog Street Market.

A spokesperson for the Beltline said, “We are aware of the issue and are working closely with the artist to make repairs.”
Art placed along the Beltline has been the target of criticism of late. At the Beltline’s recent quarterly briefing, officials apologized for photos displayed near the Martin Luther King Boulevard section of the Westside trail. The controversial display featured photos from Canine CellMates, a nonprofit that uses therapy dogs to help Fulton County Jail prisoners. Many residents felt the display was insensitive and reinforced negative stereotypes of incarcerated African-American males, four of whom were the subjects in the photos.
