Report: Atlanta Mayor tells cabinet to resign, will decide which resignations to accept

There could be some new faces in key positions at Atlanta City Hall by the end of the week and some familiar ones as well.
According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has requested the resignation of her cabinet by the end of the day, April 9, and will decide which ones to accept later this week.
On Monday evening, a spokesperson for the mayor released the following statement.
Mayor Bottoms will make a major announcement on transparency in Atlanta’s government on Tuesday, April. 10
Ahead of the announcement, Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms issued the following statement:
“I have asked for the resignation of all Cabinet members, and after further assessment will determine which resignations I will accept.
“Consistent with what I said upon taking office in January, I have taken the first 100 days to evaluate the leadership of my Administration. There are many talented leaders within the City, and I look forward to continuing to work towards creating the team that best reflects alignment with the goals and opportunities we look to pursue over the next four years.”
