A man riding on the Beltline’s Eastside trail fell off his bike after he was hit by a boulder thrown from a bridge on Virginia Avenue, according to WSB-TV.

The incident occurred in December.

“I was pretty damaged for about a week or two,” the cyclist, identified as Tom Walsh, told WSB-TV.  “It could have hit me in the face easily and lost lots of teeth or it could have been very serious.”

Atlanta Police said Walsh did not file a report. A police spokesperson said he left the scene and went to work.

“He asked his daughter to call APD. She did,” the spokesperson said. “An officer responded and she described what happened to her father. The father said he believes the rock-throwers were juveniles. We did not take a formal report.”
