Report: Transportation lobbyist warns MARTA about doing business with Chinese company

Atlanta Loop’s content partner, WABE, says a transportation lobbyist is warning MARTA about “the trend he’s seeing in public transit.”
A Chinese company, CRRC, recently won four contracts to build more rail cars in the United States.
The lobbyist said the company is outbidding other contractors for the work and is seeking to do business with MARTA.
“In the case of Boston, the second-lowest bid was a billion dollars. They came in at $560 million,” lobbyist Erik Olson said. “So just great, great discounts.”
