Paces Properties new development in Grant Park will feature a restaurant owned by the grandson of Manuel Maloof, the founder of Manuel’s Tavern and the legendary Chief Executive Officer of DeKalb County.
Manny’s Grant Park Pub will anchor the development at 588 Woodward Ave., according to a press release from Paces Properties.
“I’ve wanted to open a neighborhood ‘go to’ for years,” Manuel Maloof’s grandson, who according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution is also named Manuel Maloof, said in a press release. “I love the area, and for the last eight years, I have lived in Reynoldstown, before that Old 4th Ward and Grant Park before that. There has been an incredible need for more family-friendly local gathering spots, and we think Manny’s will be that spot for a fun night out for drinks, a hang out to watch the game and a place for a solid meal, celebrations or a private event.”
The development will also retain Wright Style hair salon and a small Jimmy John’s sandwich location.
“Anchoring the development, Manny’s will feature a family-friendly dining room with a wide variety of options and available for private parties, a patio area featuring TVs to catch Atlanta sports including football, soccer and baseball and a small game room with darts and other pub favorites,” the press release from Paces Properties says. “The bar will take center stage and carry an extensive wine list, 20 plus beers on draft, and even feature Moscow Mule slushies.”

ATLANTA: Featuring more than 5k square feet of restaurant and retail space, Paces Properties purchased the Grant Park development at 588 Woodward Ave., located at the corner of Woodward Avenue and Boulevard, in early 2016 with long-term plans to add additional neighborhood dining and conveniences to the area.
“It was important for us to continue obtaining key parcels in the area and redevelop existing structures so that neighborhood charm and appeal would not disappear as the nearby Memorial Drive boom began,” explained David Cochran, CEO of Paces Properties. “We were investing a great deal in the area with Larkin on Memorial and Atlanta Dairies as well as other properties along the corridor and felt we could support the changing face of the area while making improvements to others without taking away from the energy and appeal that brought us to the neighborhood.”Since then, the Atlanta developer has renewed the lease of long-time tenant Wright Style hair salon and is now welcoming a small Jimmy John’s location and new local gathering spot Manny’s Grant Park Pub to the community. “We’re very excited about the renovations and new tenants joining long-term local business Wright Style in the Woodward Avenue project,” said Merritt Lancaster, Principal Paces Properties. “We will begin exterior modifications including new windows, painting and facade updates, burglar bars removal and system upgrades in December with new tenants opening late spring of 2018.”
