Self-driving trucks will deliver to Google data centers in Atlanta

Waymo, a company that develops self-driving vehicles, has announced its self driving trucks will soon be on the road in Atlanta.
“Starting next week, Waymo will launch a pilot in Atlanta where our self-driving trucks will carry cargo bound for Google’s data centers,” the company said in a blog post.
The trucks will have an experienced driver in the cabs to take the wheel if needed, the company said. Waymo has been testing the trucks in California and Arizona over the past year.
“Now we’re headed to Georgia,” the company said. “Atlanta is one of the biggest logistics hubs in the country, making it a natural home for Google’s logistical operations and the perfect environment for our next phase of testing Waymo’s self-driving trucks.”
