Three Taverns Brewery announced today it will be opening a new location in the Atlanta Dairies redevelopment on Memorial Drive, two blocks from the Beltline. The “Imaginarium” is set to open in the summer of 2019.
The new space is billed as being equal parts laboratory, brewery and tasting room, according to press materials. The Decatur-based brewery plans to have four or five of its most popular beers on tap, while cycling through a list of 20 to 25 experimental brews using unique ingredients, different styles and interesting brewing techniques.
“With one of the few open container licenses in the city, the Dairies location offers the opportunity for customers to carry our beer freely throughout the complex,” Three Taverns Owner Brian Purcell said in a statement.
Three Taverns was founded in 2013 by Purcell and has since become a popular Atlanta staple. They craft a wide range of brews, but specialize in Belgian styles with a modern twist, according to brewery materials.
“We are thrilled to have Three Taverns Imaginarium join the Atlanta Dairies tenant mix,” Merritt Lancaster, Principal of Paces Properties, said in a statement. “As a well-known Georgia brewery and with a successful flagship location in Decatur, Three Taverns has grown to become a prominent Atlanta brand. We are confident the Imaginarium will be welcomed with open arms by the surrounding neighborhoods and beyond.”
