APD to participate in prescription drug take-back day Saturday

National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day – the best way to get rid unneeded prescription drugs – takes place in Atlanta on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Atlanta Police Department, along with the United States Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration, will sponsor the event at various locations around the city, according to a news release from the Atlanta Police Department.
National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day provides a safe, convenient and responsible way to dispose of prescription drugs, allowing residents to clear out medicine cabinets and empty drawers of prescription drugs.
Investigators from the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas Division will be on hand to collect the prescription drugs at any of the police precincts listed below.
