Atlanta police to hold Open Mic Night for citizens in west and southwest Atlanta

It’s an Open Mic Night – about crime and public safety.
The Atlanta Police Department is hosting a community conversation tonight to hear from citizens in west and southwest Atlanta.
Anyone who lives in police zones 1 or 4 is invited to ask questions, make comments and offer solutions to the panelists about concerns they have, according to a news release from the department.
Invited guests who will be on hand to answer questions include the District Attorney’s office, community prosecutors, City of Atlanta Department of Corrections, Atlanta Municipal Court and City Council members.
The event will be held at Salem Bible Church at 2283 Baker Rd NW. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. this evening, and the program will be from 7 – 8:30 p.m.
