Group behind The Iberian Pig will open Krog Street Market restaurant

The group behind popular restaurants such as The Iberian Pig and Cooks & Soldiers will open a full-service anchor restaurant in Krog Street Market.
The yet-to-be-named concept will replace the recently-closed Cockentrice restaurant and bar.
Paces Properties, the developer behind Krog Street Market, announced Wednesday in a news release that they had made an agreement with the Castellucci Hospitality Group.
“After Friday’s news regarding the closing of The Cockentrice, we received an influx of calls about the restaurant space,” said Merritt Lancaster, a principal at Paces. “We began looking at those inquiries because we knew we didn’t want this to be empty for long. Federico and his team had reached out some time ago, but we didn’t have any anchor restaurant opportunities at that time. They connected with us again and thus timing is everything.”
Paces Properties and Castellucci Hospitality Group moved quickly to come to an agreement to lease the the 3,440 square foot restaurant and patio space and begin build out by December.
Details about the restaurant concept and name will be shared over the coming months, with a targeted spring 2017 opening.
“Krog Street Market has been a great success since its opening, and we are very excited to bring a new restaurant concept to the market that will fit appropriately into the current dining landscape,” said Federico Castellucci III, President of Castellucci Hospitality Group.
