On Saturday, Dec. 2, the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership encourages all, “runners, walkers, strollers and dogs” alike, to participate in the seventh annual Atlanta BeltLine Eastside 10K.
The race will begin at 9:30 a.m. in front of Stoveworks at 112 Krog Street in Atlanta. Participants will experience the BeltLine’s Eastside Trail as well as the historic neighborhoods of Atlanta along the race’s route.
This event is one of the races in the 2017 Run.Walk.Go! Race Series, which promotes physical activity in the Atlanta community.
“The Eastside 10K has become one of our premier events for engaging the public, showcasing the Atlanta BeltLine and its surrounding neighborhoods, and maintaining a focus on fitness and health,” Executive Director of the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, Rob Brawner said in a recent press release.
Additionally, this 10K is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier. First, second, and third medals will go to the top male and female finishers, as well as the top finishers in the different age categories. You can also create a team to earn various group awards.
Race registration will open at 8 a.m. day-of, and it will be $45 per participant. To go ahead and register today, visit https://raceroster.com/events/2017/12699/atlanta-beltline-eastside-10k.
Proceeds from the Eastside 10K will go towards funding efforts in the Atlanta BeltLine project.
