On Feb., 20, Atlanta Police Fugitive Units arrested Willie John Davis with warrants for kidnapping and armed robbery, according to police materials. Davis has been imprisoned 3 separate times with convictions for armed robbery, burglary and auto thefts.
On the night of Jan. 21, around 9:45 p.m., Atlanta Police went to the Georgia Tech police precinct in reference to a robbery of four students, Atlanta Loop reported. Officers spoke with the victims who said they were at the Krispy Kreme on Ponce Ave., when a male approached them and asked for money. After a brief altercation, the suspect entered the victims’ vehicle and robbed them at gunpoint.
A second suspect also entered the vehicle, and the two forced the students to drive to a nearby ATM, according to the police report. Once at the ATM, the suspects demanded that all four victims withdraw money. The suspects then made the victims take them to another location, where they fled on foot.
The suspects are described as black males with dark coats. A video provided by the Atlanta Police Department depicts the other suspect.
