Atlanta Jazz Festival Lineup Announced

The city announced the complete lineup of artists for the 42nd annual Atlanta Jazz Festival today. The country’s longest running free jazz festival will return to Piedmont Park for two days over Memorial Day weekend.
Highlights of this year’s festival include The Royal Krunk Jazz Orkestra, Richard Bona, Slim Gamble and Diana Ross’ daughter Rhonda Ross and Rodney Kendrick, according to city materials. The complete lineup for the 2019 festival includes:

On Sunday, the Medlow Stage will only feature Atlanta-grown acts, city materials indicate, to celebrate the city’s rich jazz history.
Additionally, the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs will again host 31 Days of Jazz events throughout metro Atlanta beginning on May 1, according to city materials. Most of these events are free, and will take place in a variety of locations across the metro area. More information can be found here.
