Atlanta Pinball Museum planned for West Midtown Atlanta

A group of pinball enthusiasts are planning to open a Pinball Museum in West Midtown Atlanta.
The exact location has not been disclosed, but the project’s website says the projected opening date is winter 2018.
“The history of each machine will be displayed next to each game and the pinball history timeline will be showcased on our walls and in our displays,” the project website says. “We are going to display our machines in chronological order so people can see the evolution of pinball through the ages.
The museum will be opened by Tim and Beckie Hightower.
The machines will not require quarters or tokens.
“All of our machines are set to free play so once you get in the door, you can play all day,” the website says. No quarters necessary.”
The project is being funded in part with a kickstarter campaign, but the owners say that meeting the fundraising goal is not a prerequisite for opening the museum.
“We open anyway, but without Lifetime Memberships,” the website says. “Our business model is solid and we have alternate financing options, however crowd sourcing our business allows us to acquire machines more rapidly.”
