City Again Opens Warming Center Ahead of Freezing Temperatures

The city will once again be opening its emergency warming center located at the Old Adamsville Recreation Center tonight starting at 6 p.m.
At-risk men, women and children will be welcome to come in from the cold.
Additional privately run centers are also available throughout Atlanta, Councilwoman Natalyn Mosby Archibong announced via Facebook last night, but please contact these centers before bringing individuals or going there yourself to insure they are open and have space. They include:
At 40 degrees and below:
- Salvation Army: 469 Marietta Street
Opens: Referral at 5 p.m., entry at 9 p.m.
Capacity: 30 men, 10 women and 2-3 families
