Although Georgia’s high-profile, contentious gubernatorial race has concluded, there are still two important elections left unsettled. Early voting for these runoffs starts today, and will run through Nov. 30.
The two elections in question are for Secretary of State, and District 3’s Public Service Commission. For Secretary of State, Democrat John Barrow is contending against Republican challenger Brad Raffensperger. The winner of the runoff will succeed Robyn Crittenden, who was appointed by Gov. Nathan Deal to replace Gov.-elect Brian Kemp, according to WSB-TV.
In the race for Public Service Commission District 3, Democrat Lindy Miller is challenging incumbent Republican Chuck Eaton.
For those who don’t wish to participate in early voting this week, the actual election day for the runoffs is Dec. 4. Click here to find early voting locations, your polling place and more election information.
