Fresh MARTA market music series kicks off at West End Station

Shoppers at the MARTA market at West End Station can now add live music to their grocery list.
MARTA has announced it is launching the Fresh MARTA Market Music Series—an innovative concept that pairs buying fresh produce with listening to live music, according to a news release.
“These mini-concerts offer a unique opportunity to refresh your spirit while taking in the music of these well-respected artists, and then a person nourish your body as you shop for fresh, locally sourced produce,” said MARTA GM/CEO Keith T. Parker.
Customers have the chance to listen to renowned, award-winning recording artists from The Serenbe Institute and Chatt Hills Music. Marquinn Mason will play today, and the melody continues with Julie Dexter on November 1 and Mausiki Scales on November 8.
MARTA expanded its Fresh MARTA Markets to four locations this year, where riders and local residents can buy fresh fruits and vegetables at West End, College Park, Five Points and H.E. Holmes stations.
The markets are outside the fare gates, allowing area residents to shop in the markets as well. The markets are open from 3 -7 p.m. but days for the markets vary by location.
