A nude man is on the roof of a Midtown home, refusing to come down.
A little after 5 a.m., Atlanta police responded to a call of an unknown adult male on the roof of someone’s home at 327 4th St., Officer Jarius Daugherty of the Atlanta Police Department’s Public Affairs unit told Atlanta Loop.
Officers are trying to reason with the individual, but he is not cooperating and refusing to come down, Daugherty said. SWAT units are on scene and attempting to bring him down safely.
WSB-TV is reporting Argonne Avenue is blocked between Ponce de Leon Avenue and 5th Street, and 4th Street is blocked between Penn Avenue and Durant Place. The station says officers placed inflatables along the side of the home around noon in case the man falls.
Daugherty added it is unknown if the subject is armed. This incident is still ongoing, and our story will be updated as new information becomes available.
