Vacant lot next to IKEA slated for retail and office space project

An undeveloped Westside property adjacent to IKEA in Atlantic Station may finally be slated for a mixed used development.
A permit filed with the city last week calls for “land development and infrastructure for mixed use development: grocery, restaurants, bank and retail” on the 12.5 acres at 1299 Northside Drive. It borders 17th Street NW on the other side.
BisNow reports the project will be focused on retail and office space, rather than apartments or condos.
The site is owned by Ardent Cos, who is partnering with Fuqua Development to build the project.
