Plane Crashes in English Park Killing Three

A small plane crashed in English Park this afternoon. The three people on board were all killed.
Atlanta Fire Rescue confirmed the crash near Fulton Industrial Pkwy and Donald Lee Hollowell Pkwy at 12:55 p.m. Responding fire fighters put out flames in the park and checked the neighborhood for others who might have been injured.
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen confirmed to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution a Cessna 560 crashed at 12:40. She confirmed three individuals were on board, but their identities have not been released.
Aaron Diamant, a reporter for WSB-TV said via Twitter that Atlanta Police confirmed there were no survivors in the crash. The station reports the plane took off from Fulton County Airport – about two miles from the park – and was bound for Memphis, Tenn.
The FAA is investigating and will release more information as it becomes available, according to the AJC.
