Got a young runner in the family? They can hone their skills this spring though the Atlanta Parks and Recreation Department’s Youth Track and Field program.
The program focuses on the development of athletic skill, teamwork and sportsmanship for children ages 5-14, according to program materials. The program involves individual competition in numerous events based on running, jumping and throwing, and Instruction is provided by committed coaches. Children of all fitness levels are invited to participate.
Registration is now open, and parents can sign children up at any city of Atlanta recreation Center. The season runs from March 9 to May 4, 2019, according to program materials. The program costs $75 for residents and $150 for non-residents.
