Taqueria del Sol and Ramen Station opening in Grant Park development

A Grant Park development has announced two new restaurants for its project on Memorial Drive, including the popular Taqueria del Sol.
Taqueria del Sol and Ramen Station will both open locations in the Larkin on Memorial project, according to a news release from Paces Properties, Larkin’s developer.
Construction is already underway on the reuse re-development project at 519 Memorial Drive, a 63,000 square foot project projected to open in Summer 2017. Paces Properties is the developer behind several recent developments including Atlanta Dairies, Krog Street Market and Stove Works in Inman Park.
“Our vision for Larkin is to create a small town neighborhood shopping, dining and working experience for locals to use and enjoy several times a week,” Merritt Lancaster, with Paces Properties, said in the news release.
Taqueria del Sol already has several Atlanta locations including one in Westside Provisions. The Mexican restaurant was picked by Bon Appétit and Food Network as a “Top American Restaurant,” and owners Mike Klank and Chef Eddie Hernandez were nominated for the James Beard Foundation Award for Outstanding Restaurateurs.
The new freestanding 2,200 square foot Taqueria will be located inside the former Veteran’s Radiator Building and will feature a large outdoor patio area.
Ramen Station is the latest concept from restaurateur partners Michael Lo and George Yu, the team behind Makan Restaurant & Bar in Decatur and the forthcoming Suzy Siu’s Baos in Krog Street Market.
The 1,700 square foot Japanese ramen concept will offer steamed buns, seasonal appetizers and craft beer in addition to ramen bowls.
“Every great neighborhood needs a great casual and inviting Ramen shop and we are excited to bring that to Grant Park,” Yu said in the news release.
Larkin on Memorial is located across from historic Oakland Cemetery. The development is seeking office and retail tenants offering neighborhood services such as dry cleaners and nail salons.
