Two Upcoming Meetings Invite Public Input on Beltline

There are two upcoming public meetings seeking community guidance on the future of the Beltline – the Northeast Study Group Subarea 5 Master Plan Update on April 30, and the Advisory Board Annual Report meeting on May 2.
The April 30 meeting is the third in a series to gain input from the community on the Subarea 5 Master Plan, according to Beltline materials. The findings of the Feb. 23 open house will be presented, and feedback will be encouraged on the draft of land use recommendations.
The meeting will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes, located at 25 Boulevard Ave, program materials indicate. Click here to download the meeting flyer.
The May 2 meeting will give the public an opportunity to learn more about transit-oriented development, affordable housing and the funding of projects along the Beltline, meeting materials indicate. The meeting will feature a panel discussion on transit-oriented development with Debbie Frank, director of transit oriented development and real estate at the Metro Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA); Odetta MacLeish-White, managing director of TransFormation Alliance; and Amanda Rhein, executive director of the Atlanta Land Trust.
Additionally, the Atlanta Beltline Tax Allocation District Advisory Committee, the Atlanta Beltline Affordable Housing Advisory Board and the Citizen Advisory Boards will share updates on their works and provide information on how the public can better participate in the decision making processes, according to meeting materials.
